Ave Maris Stella Rosary | Handmade Aquamarine/Garnet Rosary

"Hail thou star of ocean / Portal of the sky / Ever virgin Mother / Of the Lord Most High", the first lines from the hymn Ave Maris Stella, the namesake for this rosary. I wanted to make a special rosary that evokes thoughts of Mary when seen, so I chose "Santa Maria" aquamarine beads for the Ave beads and red garnet as the Pater beads, and a gold tone construction with a simple wire wrap. Each bead is "crowned" with a golden bead cap, symbolizing the way we adorn Our Lady with a crown of roses every time we pray the most holy Rosary. This rosary is truly special, not just because of the special gemstones used to make it, but because of who and what it is a representation of. Please contemplate the gift to the Church that Our Lady's Rosary is, its potency and promises made to us by Mary and the infallibility of those promises are. Now more than ever we ought to pray "Still, as on we journey / Help our weak endeavor / Till with thee and Jesus / We rejoice forever / Through the highest heaven / To the almighty Three / Father, Son, and Spirit / One same glory be" Amen.
